Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Operations Assistant to support daily warehouse and delivery operations. This position combines warehouse duties, driver support, and operational coordination in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Safely lift and move packages and materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Assist with unloading incoming freight using manual pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks/forklifts.
- Help organize, clean, and maintain warehouse areas after outbound shipments.
- Perform light parcel sorting and package handling as required.
Driver & Dispatch Support
- Work early morning shifts (6:00 AM start) approximately 1–2 times per week.
- Assist drivers during pickup operations and perform related system transactions.
- Help resolve package exceptions and delivery-related issues.
- Monitor and respond to driver support groups during working hours, including:
- Updating delivery locations
- Looking up apartment/unit numbers
- Assisting with delivery inquiries
- Supporting drivers with operational troubleshooting
Administrative Support
- Perform basic system operations and data entry.
- Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist management with operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, dispatch, or operations experience is an asset but not required.
Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 25–30 hours per week.
- During slower periods, 25 hours per week will generally be maintained.
- Additional hours may be available during peak seasons based on operational needs.

The pay range for this role is:
16 - 16 CAD per hour(YWG-Winnipeg)
