You will create repeatable standards, onboarding processes, technical documentation, and integration patterns that enable scalable growth.
The role also supports complex payment rails, regulated financial programs, and partnerships in high-risk industries.
Success requires strong technical fluency, financial services knowledge, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
You will have the opportunity to shape innovative banking partnerships while helping build secure, compliant, and scalable fintech programs.
- Lead the design and implementation of technical integrations connecting fintech partners with banking platforms, APIs, file-based interfaces, and payment rails.
- Develop integration architectures, data mappings, solution documentation, file specifications, validation standards, and partner-facing technical requirements.
- Build and maintain standardized integration patterns, onboarding playbooks, technical specifications, checklists, and process documentation to make partner implementations faster and lower risk.
- Own end-to-end technical onboarding for assigned partnerships, coordinating implementation plans, dependencies, testing, UAT, go-live readiness, and launch activities.
- Coordinate connectivity, file-feed validation, funds-flow requirements, and payment-rail enablement across ACH, wire, RTP, and FedNow.
- Partner with Fintech Operations, IT, Compliance, BSA, Risk, and other internal teams to resolve technical, operational, regulatory, and reconciliation requirements.
- Support third-party risk management, due diligence, account structuring, and ongoing oversight activities for fintech partnerships.
- Contribute technical and feasibility expertise to prospective partnership discussions, business cases, deal structuring, and pipeline development.
- Serve as the ongoing relationship owner for assigned partnerships, conducting business reviews and identifying opportunities for integration improvements and expansion.
- Represent the organization at selected industry conferences, partner meetings, site visits, and other business events, with approximately 15–25% travel as needed.
- Support banking programs involving cannabis-related businesses, money services businesses, and other higher-risk industries, including enhanced due diligence and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor evolving regulatory and industry developments affecting fintech, payments, cannabis banking, and other high-risk verticals, advising stakeholders on potential program implications.
- Continuously improve integration standards, documentation, onboarding processes, and program practices based on implementation experience and emerging best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services, particularly across implementation, solutions/integration, program management, or partnership functions.
- Demonstrated experience designing or coordinating technical integrations involving APIs, file-based interfaces, data exchanges, or similar technologies.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with partners and translate complex technology requirements into practical, partner-facing solutions.
- Strong ability to quickly understand new technology environments, data flows, operational processes, and integration architectures.
- Working knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC, third-party risk management, payments, and regulatory concepts relevant to banking partnerships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical, operational, and regulatory concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven program management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations and partnerships.
- Self-motivated, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.
- Preferred experience with cannabis-related banking programs, money services businesses, or other high-risk industries requiring enhanced due diligence.
- Familiarity with FinCEN's 2014 marijuana banking guidance, associated SAR requirements, and related compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with direct fintech integrations on banking or issuer-processor platforms, sponsor banking, Banking-as-a-Service, or payments is advantageous.
- Experience developing standardized integration processes, file specifications, onboarding playbooks, or technical standards is preferred.
- International banking, cross-border payments, international fintech, or Islamic banking experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools used to monitor program performance is beneficial.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and perform the physical activities associated with extended computer-based work.
- Proficiency in English and the ability to participate effectively in written and verbal business communications.
- Salary range of $100,000–$120,000, with final offers based on relevant qualifications and experience.
- Employee Stock Ownership Plan and 401(k) plan.
- Medical, dental, vision, telehealth, and life insurance coverage.
- 12 weeks of paid parental and medical leave, with additional eligibility provisions.
- Up to $5,000 in Family Care Reimbursement for eligible expenses such as childcare, elder care, student loan debt, pet expenses, and down payment assistance.
- 13–23 days of PTO depending on tenure, with cash-out and carryover options.
- 10 days of paid sick time.
- 11 paid holidays.
