Matchdays don’t happen without the people behind the scenes making everything run smoothly — and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a hands-on Event Operations Manager to lead our Event Services Team during matches and events at Ruoff Mortgage Stadium. This role is perfect for someone who can lead a team, stay organized under pressure, and isn’t afraid to jump in and help wherever needed. From assisting with event setup to keeping the stadium clean, stocked, and fan-ready throughout the night, this position plays a huge role in creating a great experience for everyone who walks through the gates.
You’ll be right in the middle of the excitement during Fort Wayne FC home matches—mostly Saturday evenings from May 2 through October 24, plus a few Wednesday games. On top of that, you’ll have opportunities to work a variety of other stadium events throughout the season. If you enjoy fast-paced environments, great vibes, and being part of match-day energy, this is the opportunity for you!
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise the Event Services Team during matches and events
- Assist with stadium and event setup before gates open
- Oversee restroom checks, trash removal, cleaning responsibilities, and overall stadium presentation
- Ensure concourse areas, seating sections, and fan spaces stay clean and organized throughout events
- Coordinate staff assignments and help keep operations running smoothly
- Assist with post-event breakdown and cleanup
- Work closely with ticketing, security, concessions, and operations staff
- Solve problems on the fly and help wherever needed during live events
What We're Looking For
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Someone who leads by example and is willing to work alongside the team
- Ability to stay organized and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and outdoor events
- Previous experience in events, operations, hospitality, facilities, or sports is a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Stay active—walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and standing throughout your shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or push up to 35 pounds
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, or rain)
What to Wear
We’ll provide your event staff shirt—just bring khaki pants or approved long shorts and comfortable shoes, and you’re ready to roll.
Why You'll Love It
- Be part of the action at every Fort Wayne FC home match
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Fun, high-energy work environment
- Great hands-on experience in sports and event operations
- Opportunity to help create an incredible fan experience from behind the scenes
If you enjoy live events, leading a team, and making sure the little details get done right, we’d love to hear from you!
