Job Summary:
The Returns Coordinator is responsible for processing and tracking returned products to ensure accurate system records, timely customer communication, and proper material handling. This role supports reverse logistics operations by receiving returns, verifying information, staging materials, processing credits, and assisting with customer inquiries related to returned products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process returned products by scanning packages and entering return orders into the system.
- Identify and set aside returns with discrepancies or errors for further review.
- Sort returned materials by part number, date, or other required criteria.
- Move and stage returned products in designated return or staging areas.
- Confirm receipt of returned products and communicate status updates to clients or customers.
- Research missing or delayed returns in response to customer inquiries.
- Enter return data accurately to support customer credits, refunds, or exchanges.
- Inspect returned units for visible defects and completeness.
- Remove cables or accessories left on returned units using basic hand tools, as required.
- Ensure return and credit documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain accurate records within internal systems and customer platforms.
- Follow established safety, quality, and handling procedures at all times.
- Process units with incorrect labeling errors or unusual returns by following specialized client SOPs and custom instructions.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Previous manufacturing or distribution environment preferred but not required
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move returned products, typically up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks.
- Work performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
