Supervisor - Clinical Office - Urgent Care

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all clinical activities to ensure efficient daily operations of the clinical area in the physician practice.
  • Ensure patient and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures.
  • Assist physicians with all aspects of direct patient care, performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care, triage patient calls that come in to the office.

Qualifications:

  • Current CMA, LPN licensed by South Carolina, equivalent degree or at least 10 years of clinical supervisor experience required.
  • Appropriate certification/licensure associated with the degree required.
  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.
  • CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
  • Good interpersonal, administrative, organizational, professional and computer skills are required.
  • Must interact well with staff, patients and the public.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Physician practice experience preferred.
