The Wound clinic is an outpatient wound care clinic located on the first floor of Parkview Dekalb at entrance 2. The unit has 3 clinic rooms. The unit sees patients from varying different wound needs such as nonhealing wounds and diabetic wounds.
Overview:
Specialized care for wounds
We specialize in treating chronic wounds that have been present for four weeks or more. Wound care is beneficial for a variety of
Conditions, including:
- Diabetic Ulcers
- Venous Ulcers
- Arterial Ulcers
- Pressure Injuries
- Traumatic injuries
- Post Surgical wounds
- Neuropathic wounds
- Non-healing skin tears
- Minor Burns
The Parkview Center for Wound Healing team collaborates with various specialists including providers in infectious disease, podiatry, orthopedics, plastic surgery, dermatology, vascular medicine and the Parkview Vein Center.
Qualified RN's will receive:

Qualifications:
- Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.
- Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
