POSITION SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule across Madison-Kipp Corporation’s manufacturing operations. This position serves as the central coordination point between Sales, Production, Materials, Purchasing, Maintenance, Tooling, Quality, and Engineering to balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and operational constraints. The Master Scheduler drives schedule adherence, improves delivery performance, and ensures the efficient utilization of equipment, labor, and materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Develop and maintain the master production schedule for all MKC facilities, including die cast, machining, and finishing operations.

· Translate customer demand, forecasts, and releases into daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

· Balance customer requirements with available machine capacity, tooling availability, labor resources, and material constraints.

· Establish production priorities to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.

· Adjust schedules in response to equipment downtime, quality issues, labor shortages, engineering changes, or changing customer demand.

· Coordinate production sequencing to maximize machine utilization, reduce changeovers, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

· Conduct finite capacity planning and identify bottlenecks before they impact customer deliveries.

· Maintain accurate planning parameters within the ERP/MRP system, including lead times, capacities, safety stock levels, and inventory targets.

· Analyze production performance against the schedule and identify root causes of missed commitments.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor. Must be able to regularly walk throughout all the manufacturing facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or operations.

· Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing required; aluminum die casting, machining, or automotive manufacturing preferred.

· Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Odyssey or similar systems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

JOB SKILLS

· Strong understanding of production planning, capacity management, inventory control, and manufacturing workflows.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

· Less than 5%
