Workforce Development Specialist Summary

The Workforce Development Specialist supports TidalHealth team members in identifying, developing, and advancing career pathways within the healthcare system. This position collaborates with TidalHealth leaders, educational institutions, and workforce partners to design, implement, and evaluate programs that strengthen career pipelines- including High School Career and Technical Education (CTE), work-based learning (WBL) programs, apprenticeships, and internal training initiatives.

Workforce Development Specialist Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing or communication related field experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Experience in career development theory and practice.
  • Knowledge of workforce development resources and social services.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and database management.

Workforce Development Specialist Schedule

  • Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday.
  • Evenings and weekends may be required as needed.
  • Some travel between multiple campuses and partnership locations.

Workforce Development Specialist Benefits

  • At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
