This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive based in United States.
This is a high-impact sales role focused on accelerating the development of renewable energy projects across the U.S. power grid.
You will own new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting renewable energy developers and independent power producers.
The role combines consultative selling, technical discovery, strategic prospecting, and full-cycle enterprise sales.
You will become deeply knowledgeable about grid interconnection and help customers understand how better connection decisions can reduce risk and project costs.
Working closely with product, engineering, data, and customer success teams, you will bring valuable market insights back into the organization.
The position is ideal for a self-driven salesperson who enjoys complex technical markets and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
Your work will directly contribute to making renewable energy projects more economically viable and advancing the transition to a cleaner power grid.
As an Account Executive, you will own the new-business sales motion, developing a strong pipeline of renewable energy customers and guiding prospects through the complete journey from initial outreach to long-term adoption.
- Drive new business among renewable energy developers and independent power producers toward an annual $2 million sales quota.
- Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, discovery, product demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
- Research and identify high-potential renewable energy developers using strategic and data-driven approaches.
- Build relationships with Transmission, Interconnection, and Development teams to understand customer challenges and priorities.
- Educate prospects on how data and software can help reduce interconnection risk, accelerate project development, and improve project economics.
- Develop outbound campaigns, industry relationships, and event-driven opportunities to create and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Become a credible resource on interconnection and transmission planning when engaging with technical buyers.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline records, forecasts, and sales reporting.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to communicate customer feedback and help refine product positioning and messaging.
- Work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to support successful onboarding and long-term customer adoption.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to continuously improve sales processes, messaging, and playbooks.
- Build trusted relationships with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines strong sales execution with curiosity about renewable energy and the ability to confidently navigate complex technical conversations. Experience in the energy sector is valuable, but proven success selling into technical markets can also provide a strong foundation.
- 2–7 years of experience in SaaS or energy sales.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Either a background in renewable energy development or grid interconnection, or a demonstrated ability to sell effectively into complex technical markets without prior domain experience.

- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas, ideally with experience closing $500K–$2M+ in annual recurring revenue.
- Strong consultative selling and full-cycle sales skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively to different stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong hustle, grit, and ability to proactively create sales opportunities.
- Adaptable, coachable, and excited to work in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
- Genuine interest in accelerating the energy transition and contributing to meaningful climate impact.
Benefits:
