Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead a team of ten Field Service Engineers and a Service Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and excellent organizational skills to meet customer expectations and support company growth.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of ten Field Service Engineers and a Service Administrator to deliver exceptional maintenance and service activities.
- Oversees and schedules maintenance visits, repairs, and service requests efficiently to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and best practices to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and training, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issues, and escalations related to service delivery.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and technical support to streamline operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage budget, resources, and operational costs associated with service activities.
- Review, implement and support Service strategies to growth Service Revenue
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Service Management role, preferably within technical or maintenance services.
- Leadership experience managing field service teams.
- Strong technical understanding related to [industry/sector, e.g., HVAC, electrical, machinery].
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in service management software, SAP and MS Office Suite.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Analytical instruments, X-rays in special will be a plus
- Experience with SAP or related ERP systems preferred.
