Mountain View Country Club is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mat Pilates Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pilates and a comprehensive understanding of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. As a Pilates Instructor, you will lead engaging classes that promote physical fitness, flexibility, and overall well-being. You will be responsible for designing effective workout programs tailored to the needs of diverse clientele while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.

Position Summary:

• Conduct group and individual Pilates classes, ensuring proper technique and safety for all participants.
• Design customized fitness programs that incorporate Pilates principles along with knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Provide instruction on body mechanics to enhance participants' understanding of movement efficiency.
• Incorporate elements from other fitness disciplines such as yoga, kickboxing, cycling, and CrossFit to create dynamic class experiences.
• Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their fitness goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
• Promote classes and programs through effective fitness sales strategies to attract new clients.
• Engage with clients to build relationships that encourage retention and community within the health club.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging, safe, and effective Mat Pilates classes tailored to a diverse group of participants.
• Provide clear verbal cues, modifications, and hands-on corrections (as appropriate) to support all levels of ability.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional environment that aligns with our studio's values and standards.
• Set up and break down class space, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment storage.
• Offer consistent guidance and progression to help participants improve strength, flexibility, posture, and core stability over time.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Mat Pilates in a group setting.
• Experience teaching groups of 12 or more participants confidently and effectively.
• Experience in teaching various fitness modalities including kickboxing, cycling, CrossFit, or dancing is a plus.
• Previous experience in sports coaching or health club environments is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Pilates instruction is required; additional certifications in yoga, group fitness, or personal training are preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and connect with clients.
• Punctual, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality instruction.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients of all fitness levels.
