Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Expert DevOps Engineer based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to architect and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure specifically designed for advanced AI and agentic AI platforms. You will work at the intersection of cloud architecture, DevOps, cybersecurity, automation, and emerging AI technologies. AWS will serve as the primary cloud environment, with Azure providing secondary capabilities across multi-account architectures. The position involves designing resilient environments, implementing security controls, and establishing governance mechanisms for autonomous AI systems. You will also drive infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices across the full delivery lifecycle. Working within a global, cross-functional engineering environment, you will help translate complex AI requirements into robust and production-ready infrastructure solutions.
- Architect and build AI-enabled cloud infrastructure using AWS as the primary cloud provider and Azure as a secondary platform.
- Design cloud account structures, environments, and infrastructure configurations specifically suited to the operational requirements of agentic AI platforms.
- Develop secure, resilient, and scalable cloud environments capable of supporting advanced AI and large language model workloads.
- Implement Software-Defined Networking (SDN) micro-segmentation and security controls designed to isolate, contain, and manage potentially unexpected or rogue agent behavior.
- Establish centralized policy and control planes governing agent access, permissions, system actions, and interactions with cloud resources.
- Drive end-to-end Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using OpenTofu, Terramate, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD automation that supports reliable, repeatable, and secure infrastructure delivery.
- Contribute to cloud architecture decisions and ensure infrastructure solutions align with security, resilience, scalability, and operational requirements.
- Support the integration of container orchestration platforms and cloud-native technologies into AI workloads where applicable.
- Develop or contribute to observability approaches capable of monitoring complex and non-deterministic AI or agent execution flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to translate complex AI platform requirements into practical infrastructure solutions.
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance on cloud, security, automation, and AI infrastructure topics.
- Continuously evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies to identify opportunities for improving infrastructure capabilities and operational resilience.
- Proven experience architecting and building specialized infrastructure for agentic AI platforms or other advanced AI-driven systems, beyond traditional cloud engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS multi-account architectures, with practical experience using Azure as a secondary cloud platform.
- Deep experience designing cloud infrastructure, account structures, environment strategies, and secure architectures for complex workloads.
- Hands-on experience implementing SDN micro-segmentation and policy-based security isolation mechanisms.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools, including OpenTofu, Terramate, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
- Proven experience designing or implementing centralized policy engines, governance frameworks, or control planes for autonomous or AI-driven systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, access controls, permissions management, network security, and infrastructure governance.
- Experience with CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices across complex cloud environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks and compliance automation tools is desirable.
- Experience with Kubernetes and managed container platforms such as EKS or AKS, particularly in connection with AI workloads, is desirable.
- Familiarity with observability tools and approaches for monitoring non-deterministic AI or agent execution flows is an advantage.
- Strong architectural vision and the ability to translate complex AI requirements into reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Security-first mindset combined with strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach to continuous learning, with genuine interest in emerging cloud infrastructure, AI, and agentic technology paradigms.
- Strong skills across AI platforms, AWS, Azure, cloud architecture, and large language model architecture.
- 100% remote work arrangement within Brazil.
- Comprehensive company-paid medical insurance.
- Mental health programs supporting employee wellbeing.
- Five additional undocumented sick-leave days per year.
- Professional development opportunities through internal meetups, conferences, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Access to an Udemy learning license and language courses.
- Company-paid professional certifications.
- Access to a global community of skilled technology professionals for knowledge sharing and career development.
- Long-term employment with 20 working days of paid vacation plus local bank holidays.
- Internal Mobility Program providing opportunities to change projects and support continued professional growth.
- Opportunity to work on large-scale international projects involving emerging cloud and AI technologies.
- Collaborative and welcoming environment with an open-door culture and regular team-building activities.
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and complex engineering challenges with international clients.
