We're growing our team and looking for a motivated, licensed Loan Officer to join us in either our Wheeling, IL or Hamilton, AL location, or remote if outside these cities but within the state.

Position Overview

As a Loan Originator at CIS Home Loans, you'll guide borrowers through every step of the mortgage process from initial consultation to closing, while building lasting relationships with clients, realtors, and referral partners in your community.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective borrowers to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate loan products
• Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience
• Analyze financial and credit information to determine loan eligibility
• Collect, verify, and process required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources
• Stay current on loan products, interest rates, and underwriting guidelines
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company lending regulations (including NMLS licensing requirements)
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly origination goals

Qualifications

• Active NMLS registration/license required
• Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in mortgage lending preferred
• Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and/or USDA loan products a plus
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficiency with loan origination software (LOS) and CRM tools
• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
