Team Lead, Sales Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead, Sales Operations based in the United States.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a fast-paced managed IT services environment.
You will lead a sales operations team responsible for keeping quotes, orders, vendor relationships, and internal workflows moving efficiently.
The role combines team leadership with direct involvement in quoting, sales support, data management, and process coordination.
You will help sales teams stay organized by providing accurate forecasting, opportunity data, and timely operational support.
Success requires strong prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm as requests and priorities change.
You will also coach team members, strengthen processes, and build productive relationships with vendors, clients, procurement, and finance teams.
The position is fully remote within the United States, with occasional after-hours updates and some travel.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the Sales Operations team, establishing priorities, allocating work, and ensuring high-volume requests are handled accurately and on time.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members on products, tools, workflows, and processes while serving as a reliable escalation point throughout the day.
  • Manage quoting activities for internal offerings and follow up on approvals to keep opportunities and orders progressing.
  • Produce and maintain sales data and reporting, including forecasting, performance rankings, territory information, and other operational insights.
  • Track Master Service Agreements and ensure required documentation is completed and signed for new clients.
  • Communicate with procurement, finance, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep orders and approvals moving forward.
  • Maintain accurate sales opportunities and related information within ConnectWise and other business systems.
  • Build and maintain productive communication cadences with vendor partners, staying informed about new products and developments and sharing relevant information with the team.
  • Support team members directly by removing blockers, stepping into operational work when needed, and helping maintain service levels during periods of changing demand.
  • Use downtime proactively for team development, process improvement, training, and operational organization.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, sales administration, coordination, or a comparable role, ideally within IT, managed services, or a technology-focused environment.
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, supervising, or informally leading colleagues, with the ability to remain patient, clear, and supportive as priorities shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through, with the ability to manage a high volume of quotes, orders, vendor communications, and administrative requests without losing track of commitments.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to determine what requires immediate attention and keep workflows moving in a fast-changing environment.
  • Experience working directly with vendors, clients, procurement teams, finance teams, and sales stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, data management tools, and business intelligence or reporting platforms.
  • Experience maintaining sales opportunities and customer or order information in CRM, PSA, or similar business systems; ConnectWise experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to serve as a go-to resource for sales teams and operational colleagues.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach and willingness to work directly on quotes, requests, vendor communications, and other operational tasks.
  • Ability to learn new technology products and processes quickly and explain them effectively to others.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability, responsiveness, and collaboration.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, generally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours updates.
  • Must be based in the United States and able to work remotely from a home office; some travel may be required.
Benefits
  • Full-time remote position within the United States.
  • Four weeks of accrued annual paid time off.
  • Seven paid national holidays.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Voluntary critical illness and accident insurance.
  • Voluntary legal and identity theft protection benefits.
  • Discretionary annual 401(k) matching plan.
  • Employee referral bonus program.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Access to more than 90,000 professional development courses through ADP My Learning.
  • Access to employee engagement and development tools.
  • Eligibility to apply for a Pluralsight license.
  • Salary determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, geographic location, and other applicable factors.
