This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Accounting based in United States.
This is a key accounting leadership opportunity within a fast-growing technology environment, with ownership of global close and consolidation activities.
You will oversee multi-entity, multi-currency accounting operations while ensuring accurate, scalable, and audit-ready financial reporting.
The role combines hands-on technical accounting expertise with process transformation and team leadership.
A major focus will be using AI, automation, and modern accounting systems to eliminate manual work and strengthen operational efficiency.
You will collaborate closely with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Procurement, People, and other business partners across the organization.
You will also manage and mentor a small accounting team, fostering accountability, stability, and continuous improvement.
This remote U.S. position offers the opportunity to meaningfully shape accounting processes as the organization scales.
- Own the global close process, including multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations, ASC 830 currency translations, and U.S. general ledger activities.
- Manage monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, close procedures, and chart of accounts governance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead accounting transformation and automation initiatives, incorporating AI tools and modern systems to standardize repeatable close procedures and reduce spreadsheet-driven workflows.
- Prepare audit-ready consolidated and entity-level balance sheet and P&L flux analyses and operationalize technical accounting positions.
- Execute accounting for stock-based compensation under ASC 718 and support other relevant U.S. GAAP requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a small accounting team, providing direction, coaching, and support while establishing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Procurement/Accounts Payable, People, Compensation and Benefits, and other stakeholders on financial and operational matters.
- Support external audits and ensure timely, accurate delivery of required financial documentation and information.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, close management tools, and automated workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, combined with progressive corporate accounting and audit experience.
- Hands-on experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and ASC 830 currency translations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 830, ASC 718, and ASC 842.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace/G Suite.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, including subsidiary structures, multi-currency configuration, saved searches, and related accounting functionality.
- Experience managing external audit deliverables and maintaining strong financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead accounting teams and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Active CPA license is preferred.
- Experience in SaaS or software accounting, including organizations with non-calendar fiscal years, is a plus.
- Experience managing remote team members across multiple time zones is advantageous.
- Familiarity with close management platforms such as FloQast or Numeric and equity administration platforms such as Carta, Shareworks, or Global Shares is preferred.
- Experience supporting international entities and local statutory audits is beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools such as Claude or Gemini to automate operational accounting workflows is highly valued.
- Annual salary range of $147,000–$167,000 USD, with bonus and equity provided in addition to the stated base salary range.
