Join Our Legal Team
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive litigation and administrative support throughout all phases of the legal process. What You'll Do
Litigation & Document Management
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence.
- Prepare, file, and serve pleadings and discovery in compliance with court rules and applicable procedural requirements.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetings with attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and vendors.
- Maintain organized case files, litigation calendars, and document management systems.
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, trial binders, witness files, and supporting materials.
- Retrieve and organize case-related information and documents as needed for hearings and trials.
Legal Research & Case Analysis
- Perform legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Review court dockets and obtain case-related filings and information.
- Summarize discovery responses, medical records, and other case materials for attorney review.
- Assist attorneys with case evaluations related to liability and damages.
- Stay current on court procedures, filing requirements, and local rules.
Case Management
- Support all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Coordinate document collection, review, and production for discovery responses.
- Track and manage litigation deadlines, court appearances, and case schedules using case management software.
- Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and conferences.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of legal templates and internal procedures.
- Facilitate effective communication among attorneys, clients, claims partners, experts, and vendors.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in:
- Insurance defense
- Personal injury litigation
- Civil litigation law firms
- Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
- Experience with automobile insurance claims and litigation is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency with legal research platforms, including Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Experience with case management software and litigation support tools.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office, remote, or hybrid environment, depending on business needs.
- Occasional overtime may be required during trial preparation, discovery deadlines, hearings, and other litigation-related activities.
- Occasional travel to courts, depositions, hearings, mediations, or other legal proceedings may be required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Frequent use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to review and analyze large volumes of legal documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry files, records, or trial materials up to 15 pounds
