Job Description
Providence Home Health is seeking a skilled, autonomous Registered Nurse (RN) for Infusion Services. This unique role offers a dynamic dual-setting experience: you will support patients at our clinical infusion center in Allentown, PA, as well as provide dedicated, one-on-one home infusion care to patients throughout our multi-county service region.
If you are looking to escape hospital burnout and want a rewarding role with flexible daytime hours, strong clinical autonomy, and a supportive team environment, this position is for you.
Position Overview
• Job Type: [Part-Time / Per Diem]
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime hours; minimal rotating weekend or on-call coverage
• Location: Dual-setting (Allentown, PA Infusion Center + home health visits across Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks, Berks, Carbon, and Montgomery counties)
• Compensation: $50.00 per hour
• Travel: Local travel required for home care visits; Mileage reimbursement provided within guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Dual-Setting Care: Seamlessly transition between administering treatments at our Allentown center and conducting autonomous, one-on-one visits in patients' homes.
• Complex IV Therapy: Safely administer specialty medications, biologics, antibiotics, hydration, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
• Vascular Access Management: Expertly initiate peripheral IVs and manage central venous access devices (including PICC lines, implanted ports, and tunneled catheters).
• Patient Assessment & Care: Perform physical assessments, track vital signs, monitor treatment efficacy, and safely identify or manage potential adverse reactions.
• Education & Support: Empower patients and family caregivers by teaching self-administration techniques, line maintenance, and symptom recognition.
• Compliant Documentation: Complete accurate, timely electronic charting in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) standards and agency policies.
Job Requirements
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, with high proficiency in peripheral IV insertion and central line care (ICU, ER, Med-Surg, Oncology, or Outpatient Infusion background highly preferred).
• Health Screenings: TB Clearance dated within past 12 months; Employment physical.
• Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification.
• State Clearances: Must pass Pennsylvania-mandated healthcare clearances, including the PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle with valid registration, and active auto insurance for traveling to regional home visits.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in home health, hospice, or an ambulatory infusion clinic.
• CRNI® (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) or VA-BC™ (Vascular Access Board Certified) credentials.
Benefits & Perks
• Competitive hourly pay + mileage.
• Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans are available through Paychex Flex perks.
• 401(k) retirement plan eligible after six months
• Ongoing clinical education
