JOB SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Team Support and Development – 40%

• Consistently exemplify and uphold expectations of core values.
• Oversee scheduling or sequencing, ensuring timely submissions and setting the crew up for success.
• Adhere to Mafia Manifesto standards and Employee Handbook.
• Assist the Shop Manager with second interviews for new candidates.
• Assist the Shop Manager with Flow Checks
• Support coaching and discipline processes for Broistas and Shift Leads, including documentation and signatures as needed.
• Provide and receive frequent, respectful feedback.

Operations and Business Support – 25%

• Ensure the crew and the shop have everything needed to provide a mind-blowing experience to every customer.
• Assist with monthly inventory, focusing on meeting the Cost of Goods Goal.
• Assist in identifying and remedying operational problems.
• Assist crew with upcoming specials, promotions, and menu changes.

Brand Standards and Culture – 18%

• Be a good teammate and role model by exemplifying guiding principles.
• Build enthusiasm for teams around Give-Backs and opportunities to support our communities.

Communication and Meetings – 17%

• Attend mandatory meetings, use provided resources, adhere to all company policies and procedures in the Field Guides and Employee Handbook.
• Participate and help lead shop and leadership meetings.

Experience Needed to Be Successful

o A minimum of 6 months of Shift Lead experience is preferred, with no disciplinary actions for the past 90 days.

o Must have performed a minimum of 10 shifts as a Shift Lead at Dutch Bros.

Skills Need to Be Successful

o Advanced ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, writing routine reports and correspondence, speaking before a group of customers or employees, and leading activities.

o Intermediate proficiency in fundamental math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division when cash handling.

o Demonstrate core values of speed, quality, and service.

o Ability to complete, pass, and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under DB WYCO.

o Ability to delegate tasks and projects to Broistas on shifts.

o Strong ability to express humility, gratitude, and integrity within their daily responsibilities.

o Possesses emotional intelligence and social skills.
