What you will accomplish as a Marketing and Events Specialist at TAPCO:
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Operations Manager, the Marketing and Event Specialist plays a critical role in executing integrated marketing initiatives that support TAPCO's business objectives and customer experience goals. This highly collaborative position partners with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, operations, and external vendors to plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing campaigns, creative assets, events, and communications programs. The role combines project management, content and production coordination, visual asset creation, and event logistics to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and aligned with brand standards. Responsible for managing initiatives from concept through completion, the Marketing and Event Specialist helps drive stakeholder alignment, supports sales enablement efforts, and contributes to the successful execution of TAPCO's overall marketing and communications strategy in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed plans for all events, including reservations, timelines, venues, staffing, materials, and budgets
- Ensure event leads are properly integrated into the CRM and analyze the success of each event through post-event evaluation and ROI reports.
- Plan and manage multiple marketing projects within our project management tool (ClickUp) through various stages of completion in a deadline-driven environment including working with stakeholders to complete project goals, timelines, and campaign strategies
- Coordinate involvement, influence key stakeholders, and maximize value from both internal and external team members
- Help maintain and organize tradeshow inventory while packing crates for shipment
- Order sales and marketing materials while maintaining inventory – swag, giveaways, print collateral and other assets
- As part of the marketing event and sales support, lead the coordination with operations and engineering of the demo production process
- Assists in planning, organizing and executing projects within the marketing department
- Supports the consistency of brand standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and development
- Quickly assist with time-sensitive tasks and perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proven project management and accountability skills; Knowledge of project management tools, ClickUp is a plus
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and anticipate workflow to support multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Build relationships; collaborative team player; able to effectively organize and prioritize work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn quickly
Required Experience
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in tradeshow/event planning and management from pre-event planning through post-event completion is preferred
- Marketing Automation software (Hubspot) and CRM (Salesforce) knowledge is a plus
- Experience in a customer service or sales environment
