PULMONARY FUNCTION THERAPIST

PART-TIME - CROWN POINT

Position Description:

The Pulmonary Function Therapist is responsible for performing and assisting with a variety of pulmonary function tests to
evaluate and assess patients’ respiratory status. The technician prepares patients for testing, operates and maintains
pulmonary diagnostic equipment, ensures accurate and quality test results, and provides compassionate patient care
throughout the testing process. The technician works collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses and
other healthcare professionals.

Education/Experience:

Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program and successful completion of the certification and/or
registry exams through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Requires current Indiana Respiratory Care
Practitioner’s license.

• Preferred Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) credential or Registered Pulmonary Function
Technologist (RPFT) credential.
