Class B CDL Truck DriverLocation: Memphis, TN
Schedule: Full-Time | Hourly | Third Shift (Overnight)
Denali is seeking a dependable Class B CDL Truck Driver to support our overnight transportation operations in Memphis, Tennessee. This position is responsible for safely transporting, delivering, and picking up materials along assigned local routes while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
The ideal candidate has experience operating manual-transmission commercial vehicles, maintains a strong safety record, and can work independently during overnight hours. This position offers consistent full-time work, competitive hourly pay, and daily home time with one of the nation’s largest organic waste and wastewater recycling companies.
Safety: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness, sound judgment, and diligence. Employees are responsible for protecting their own safety and the safety of others.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles on assigned local routes.
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries accurately and on time.
- Operate manual-transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, accidents, and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of assigned equipment.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and facility personnel.
- Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Manual-transmission truck experience is required.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
- Must be able to work third-shift and overnight hours.
- End-dump experience is preferred but not required; training may be provided to selected candidates.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing.
- Adequate vision and awareness to operate a commercial vehicle safely.
- Ability to work around road hazards, moving vehicles, machinery, mechanical equipment, and electrical currents.
- Ability to work outdoors without effective protection from weather, including exposure to heat and cold.
