Job Description
About the Role
The Community Impact Measurement (CIM) Intern is a Summer Internship that supports Famicos Foundation’s Community Building & Engagement Department through data collection, resident engagement, and community impact evaluation activities. Working within the Hough neighborhood, this position assists with gathering and analyzing neighborhood data that helps inform community development strategies and measure changes in neighborhood conditions, quality of life, and resident engagement.
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Building & Engagement, this position works closely with staff, residents, and community partners to support data-driven decision-making and neighborhood improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct block observations to assess neighborhood conditions and community assets.
Complete property and parcel observations within designated study areas.
Administer resident surveys and assist with achieving participation goals.
Enter, organize, and maintain data within the Success Measures Data System.
Review collected data and assist with identifying trends and community needs.
Prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials using established templates.
Collaborate with staff and community members to support neighborhood improvement efforts.
Participate in community outreach and resident engagement activities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality and confidentiality.
Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; current enrollment in or completion of college coursework in community development, urban planning, public administration, social sciences, public health, research, or a related field preferred.
Interest in community development, urban planning, public administration, social sciences, public health, research, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems.
Ability to engage respectfully with diverse residents and community stakeholders.
