About the Role:
The Analyst, Systems plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the manufacturing operations through effective analysis and management of information systems. This position is responsible for evaluating current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and IT to ensure systems align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The Analyst will also monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and documentation to end-users. Ultimately, this role drives continuous improvement in manufacturing processes by leveraging technology and data-driven insights.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in systems analysis or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, or related technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or VBA.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing, such as ISO standards.
- Certification in systems analysis, project management, or related disciplines.
- Experience working in a large-scale manufacturing or industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to design, test, and implement system upgrades or new software solutions.
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain data integrity.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system workflows, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide end-user support and training to ensure effective utilization of manufacturing systems.
- Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies related to system security and data management.
Skills:
The required skills enable the Analyst to thoroughly assess and optimize manufacturing systems by analyzing data and identifying technical solutions that improve operational workflows. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with diverse teams and translating technical information into actionable insights. Proficiency in ERP and MES software allows the Analyst to manage and troubleshoot complex systems effectively. Preferred skills such as programming and knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies enhance the ability to automate processes and drive continuous improvement.
