Wellness Coordinator in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania at Gateway Rehabilitation Center

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a dedicated Wellness Coordinator to oversee wellness and fitness programs across our locations in Center Township and Ohioville, PA. In this role, you will manage programming at multiple sites while fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees boxing facilities, ensuring a safe and clean facilities and equipment.
• Coordinates holistic wellness programs for patients in all levels of inpatient programming.
• Provides individual support in general wellness or nutrition.
• Conducts needs assessments or surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, wellness and boxing programs.
• Documents attendance and participation in wellness and boxing programs in the EHR.
• Maintains wellness and boxing schedules.
• Leads group sessions across multiple locations, covering topics such as medication management techniques, yoga, stress reduction strategies, and spiritual wellness.
• Transports patients when needed.
• Assists in crisis interventions when needed.
• Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of 12-step programs and/or addictions preferred.
• Chemical dependency treatment experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's license and favorable driving record required.
• Obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Pass PA Criminal Background Check
• Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances
• Pass Drug Screen
• 2-Step TB Test

Work Conditions

• Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center.
• This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway residents.
• Mental demands include those involved in working with individuals in substance use disorder treatment.
