Metal Circular Saw Operator in Bensalem, Pennsylvania at Hadco Metal Trading Co LLC

Hadco Metal, a long-stable and consistently growing distributor of metals and engineered plastics, is seeking a Metal Circular Saw Operator for our Bensalem facility.

Position Summary:

As a Circular Saw Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating an industrial saw to cut, trim, and shape metal stock (such as steel or aluminum) to precise dimensions based on work orders and blueprints to meet customer specifications.

Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Role & Responsibilities:

• Operate manual or CNC machines to accurately cut material for customer orders.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances.
• Operate and monitor machine operation for continued accuracy throughout cutting processes.
• Continually measure work piece dimensions to assure constant specification accuracy throughout machine operation.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Work directly with the production supervisor to ensure accuracy of customer requirements.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer delivery requirements and company performance goals

Requirements:

• Math and measuring skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Experience using calipers (preferred).
