What you’ll be doing

Senior Cloud Engineers lead the design, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance of cloud platforms and the associated CICD toolchain that underpin products critical to Monoova clientsWork within a scrum agile methodology, collaborate with team members and stakeholdersWork on leading digital customer experiences and capabilities in finance, payments, and foreign exchangeConstantly evolve commercially viable products based on meaningful data insights and customer feedback

Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators

Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain our hyperscale cloud platforms, IAC artifacts and associated deployment toolchains that underpin our critical payment product platforms & UIs in a fast-moving and regulated environmentSynthesise requirements that underpin feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches if warranted, and facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelinesCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance requirements as well as functional and non-functional goalsIdentify, collaborate, recommend, and document solutions to remedy security, performance, and process challenges in existing systemsSelf-manage own role responsibilities requiring minimal oversight

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field8+ years professional experience in technology engineering and deliveryAbility to work in a start-up environment with a learning mindset and the ability to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractlyInnovative thinking with the ability to collaborate and share ideas. Excellent relationship management skills, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve great results. Subject Matter Expert experience in cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) with a high level of knowledge of broad infrastructure functions - CI/CD pipelines, automation, site reliability, security, etc Kubernetes clusters and service meshes (eg. API Gateways, Ingress Controllers, Envoy, Linkerd) Kafka, Event Streaming, Pub/Sub, Azure Service BusCI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Code Repos, Image Registries) Infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM, Octopus Deploy .Net or Java developmentDeep understanding of computer networking and information security requirements for a regulated environmentLogging, SIEM and APM (Application Performance Monitoring) systemsUnderstanding of Agile SCRUM methodologyExposure with Atlassian tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence preferredAbility to effectively articulate technical challenges and commercially viable solutionsAbility to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
