Travel RN- Labor Delivery 12hr nights Weekends in Peoria, Illinois at Fidelity On Call, LTD

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN is responsible for assessing maternal and fetal conditions, monitoring labor progression, assisting with deliveries, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Assess maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and uterine activity.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency procedures.
Provide immediate postpartum and newborn care.
Recognize and respond promptly to maternal or fetal complications.
Educate and support patients and their families.
Coordinate care with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Follow all patient-safety and infection-prevention standards.

Qualifications
RN license in state of assignment *Compact License Allowed
RN license - Active unencumbered
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Current ACLS and NRP certifications.
AWHONN fetal monitoring certification if required by the facility.
Minimum of one year of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, prioritization, and time-management skills.
Level I experience preferred/required some units
EMR: EPIC
