As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our Montréal team.

Role Overview:

The Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial aspects of our projects — from reviewing costings and ensuring targets are met, to monitoring invoicing and managing approvals for changes. This role is key to maintaining financial control and supporting project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project cost reports and ensure alignment with budgets and financial targets.
• Monitor cost variances, analyze trends, and provide timely insights to project managers and senior leadership.
• Review and process subcontractor and client invoicing for accuracy and compliance with contracts.
• Oversee change orders, ensuring financial impacts are fully captured and properly approved.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and leadership to support effective financial decision-making.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports and forecasts for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and project controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation (or in progress) considered an asset.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project accounting, ideally within construction or related industries.
• Strong understanding of project cost management, invoicing, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in accounting/project management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Bilingual (French and English)
