POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a multidisciplinary behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) Assessor to conduct comprehensive assessments of clients, determine treatment needs, and develop individualized treatment plans.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day work focuses on providing centralized, trauma-informed medical support across ARC programs, ensuring consistency, safety, and coordination in all medical operations.

On a typical week, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments using ASAM criteria and standardized screening tools.
  • Gather and integrate information from client interviews, collateral contacts, and records to inform clinical decisions.
  • Develop diagnostic impressions and individualized treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify strengths, goals, and preferences in a person-centered, culturally responsive way.
  • Document assessments, treatment recommendations, and clinical notes accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to support coordinated, continuous care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to support appropriate placement and service alignment across programs.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ARC confidentiality policies.

  • Apply trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practices in all client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, counseling, human services)
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment recommendations
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention and support clients in acute situations
  • Experience facilitating individual, group, or family services
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) or experience working with diverse populations

Compensation
  • $55,000 – $66,000 annually for a 32-hour workweek
  • Pay is based on experience, demonstrated skills, and qualifications
Work-Life Balance
  • Four-day workweek (32 hours) for all ARC staff
  • 10 paid holidays each year (many convert to floating holidays if worked or if they fall on your regular day off)
  • Vacation and sick time begin accruing immediately
    • Up to 3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of sick time earned during your first year

As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following your first 30 days of employment.
