CPLC Prestamos is an award-winning Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Community Development Entity that has provided small business loans and high-quality technical support services to business owners in underserved communities since 1980. CPLC Prestamos now offers loan products, business consulting services and investment opportunities in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will drive the growth of CPLC Prestamos by formulating and implementing strategies for the origination of all loan programs. Your focus will be on small business loans, micro-loans, private loan pools, and NMTC loans. You will establish and nurture a strong referral network of business bankers, commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, professional associations, accountants, lawyers, and other stakeholders to identify and capitalize on loan opportunities.

You will structure complex loan proposals, complete initial analyses, and prepare credit packages to support business growth. Your work ensures that CPLC Prestamos continues to expand its impact in underserved communities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education/Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of education and 5+ years’ experience in commercial lending/analysis
  • Proven track record in business development and loan origination.
  • Strong understanding of micro-loans, private loan pools, SBA 7a Community Advantage Loans.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and assess credit risk.
