TRANSPORTATION TECH - OUTREACH in CANTON, Ohio at Aultman Health Foundation

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary purpose of the position is to transport laboratory specimens, supplies, reports and radiology film from any drawstation or contracted physician office in an accurate and safe manner as designated by the department policies and procedures under the direction of the Unit Director or designated Technical Specialist. Position requires rotation of shifts, weekend and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Travel efficiently and safely from one location to another retrieving specimens and delivering supplies and reports
• Proper tracking of specimens, supplies and reports
• Adhere to proper specimen storage and transporting requirements

• Adhere to hospital dress code policy and maintains a professional appearance
• Follows universal precautions at all times.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• 1PM-9:30PM or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends.
• Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
• Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
