About This Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team on a full-time basis. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during surgical procedures. You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential to the success of our team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field.
  • Experience working with a variety of surgical specialties.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
  • Monitor the patient's condition during the procedure and report any changes to the surgical team
  • Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure

Skills:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will use your knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment to ensure that the operating room is prepared for each procedure. You will work closely with the surgical team to anticipate their needs and provide support during procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential to the success of our team. Additionally, your experience with electronic medical records (EMR) will be beneficial in maintaining accurate patient records. Overall, your skills will be critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
