POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist reports to Surgical Services Leadership. During surgery, functions under the direction and direct supervision of the attending surgeon within the operating room. Performs duties within the scope and practice of position set by the Association of Surgical Technologists.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program. Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified surgical technician. Current Surgical Technology and Surgical First Assistant Certification. Current BLS.
