Job Description

The Content Moderator III is responsible for reviewing and moderating user-generated content to ensure that it meets the organization's standards and guidelines. The position will use a variety of tools and processes to identify and remove content that is inappropriate, harmful, or violates the platform's terms of use.

What does a day in the life as a Content Moderator III look like?

  • Reviews and moderates user-generated content, including text/chats, images, videos, and other content on social media platforms according to the organization’s policies and guidelines
  • Uses content moderation tools and processes to identify and remove inappropriate, harmful, or violating content
  • Provide support with escalated complex issues
  • Acts as quality assurance as needed
  • Monitors and reports trends or patterns in content moderation issues
  • Work on creating, updating, and improving content moderation policies and guidelines to ensure they are up-to-date and effective
  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance the user experience by providing feedback and suggestions based on moderation experiences
  • Ensure consistent enforcement of content policies across different types of content and user interactions
  • Provides support and assistance to Content Moderator I and II as needed
  • Participates in training programs and continuous learning initiatives to improve content moderation skills and knowledge
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Meets or exceeds individual and team performance targets and metrics
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications of a Content Moderator III?

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2 years of experience in content moderation, preferably in a call center environment
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online communities
  • Familiarity with AI tools and bots
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications
