About This Position
12pm-10:30pm, 12:30pm-11:00pm, 2pm-10:30pm, 5:30am-2pm, 5am-1:30pm, 6:30am-3pm, 5:30am-4pm w/ rotation of weekends, holidays & other shifts as needed
This position works primarily 10-hour shifts but is included in the Saturday rotation. Saturday shifts are eight hours in length and the week of the Saturday rotation this position will work a combination of eight- and 12-hour shifts. The frequency of Saturday rotations is determined by overall unit staffing. This position will rotate through holidays and may require other shifts as needed. Holidays and Saturdays are reduced staffing days on RCC.
5 North Recovery Care center is a 36 bed unit that admits elective and add-on patients for same day surgery for inpatient and the Recovery Care Center. Short stay post-op patients consist of a variety of specialties, including General Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT. GU, GYN, Neuro/ Spine, Orthopedics, and Plastics.
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.
Education/Experience Requirements
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree
*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required:
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
- Certification in a specialty area.
