What you need to know about the position:

• We are looking for Lead Medical Assistants (MA) in multiple offices:
  • Gastroenterology
  • Columbus Internal Medicine
  • Neurology & Endocrinology
• The Lead MA provides clinical leadership and support to providers and the practice in general as well as providing direct patient care when the schedule requires it.
• This position is a Full Time/ 40 hours per week with general work hours of Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
• The base hourly rate for this position is $18.74. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

What is required for the position:

• One of the following is required:
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting, Nursing or Practical Nursing Program
  • Two years related experience and/or training in a physician office setting
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Leadership experience is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification or Registration as a medical assistant through a recognized certification organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Assistant Certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (C AAHEP); National Healthcare Association (NHA), Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required within 90 days of hire.
