About This Position
The Nursing Informatics Specialist and Sepsis Coordinator is a combined role (.5 IT/.5 Quality).
The Sepsis Coordinator’s purpose is to enhance the quality of patient care and optimize health outcomes of those patients with Sepsis. The Sepsis Coordinator will lead quality improvement initiatives based on organizational priority, regulatory requirements, and measures falling below benchmark. The Sepsis Coordinator will collect and analyze data to inform decision making to improve the quality of care. The role will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders to design workflows across the care continuum. The Nursing Informatics Specialist serves as the essential link between nursing practice and Information Technology (IT), ensuring that electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively support inpatient nursing workflows, clinical documentation, and patient care delivery. This role leverages extensive bedside nursing experience to translate realworld clinical workflows into technical solutions within the EHR, with a strong emphasis on Meditech. The Nursing Informatics Specialist supports system optimization, training, troubleshooting, and implementation activities to improve clinical efficiency, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
