Position Summary

The Director of Government Banking & Treasury Sales is responsible for leading the bank's public sector strategy and growing relationships with state, municipal, county, and regional government entities and traditional commercial business across New Jersey and Southeast PA, with support for the Florida Market. This role oversees business development, portfolio growth, deposit acquisition, treasury management penetration, and overall relationship expansion within the government and commercial segments.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Grow government banking portfolio in line with individual and bank annual deposit goals.

2. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce and ensure accuracy of forecasting data.

3. Provide training and mentorship to internal teams and subordinates on treasury management products and value positioning.

4. Maintain a strong understanding of treasury technology, payment regulations, and competitive landscape.

5. Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to improve processes, enhance product capabilities, and respond to market trends.

6. Oversee onboarding and implementation of treasury services to ensure timely, accurate, and successful delivery.

7. Partner with Relationship Managers and Retail Leadership to identify cross‑sell opportunities.

8. Conduct needs assessments and deliver customized treasury solutions including ACH, wire, RDC, fraud mitigation tools, and liquidity services.

9. Drive growth of treasury management revenue through acquisition of new clients and deepening of existing relationships.

10. Lead the development and execution of treasury sales strategies across business, commercial, and government segments.

11. Represent the Bank at industry events, conferences, and prospect meetings to elevate market presence.

12. Maintains open communication with Chief Retail Banking Officer, Regional Branch Managers, Regional Presidents, and other departments to discuss new opportunities.

13. Respond to public sector RFPs, delivering competitive and compliant proposals.

14. Cross-sell treasury services, merchant services, lending products, technology solutions.

15. Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure smooth implementation of treasury and deposit services.

16. Provide ongoing support with account reviews, collateral requirements, and regulatory updates.

17. Offers suggestions and help with decision-making to successfully implement new changes in products, policies, and/or procedures.

18. Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred, or 15 years plus years' experience in government banking management

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
