Job Description

The Patient Care Coordinator is a crucial member of our team, interacting with and communicating with a variety of patients from their initial point of contact through the continuum of care, as well as practice providers and staff. The role will also maintain, evaluate, and at times, update, standards and guidelines in accordance with practice standards.

This role will be located at our Centerville, Ohio practice.

Patient Care Coordinator Duties

  • Greet and check-in patients efficiently and professionally
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic health records systems
  • Collect and verify patient insurance information and update medical records accordingly
  • Assist with patient inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing clear information about procedures and appointments
  • Prepare and organize patient documentation for clinical staff
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments as needed
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and clinic policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare and/or customer service
  • College degree preferred
  • Familiarity with healthcare or medical practice operations, including patient privacy practices and medical terminology, preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Meevo, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software
