Position Purpose: The Assistant E-Sports Coach will help the Head E-Sports Coach with practices, gaming events, and any other duties assigned by head coach and athletic director. Individual will advise student-athletes and help benefit SFCC E-Sports Program.

Essential Job Functions

• Schedule, post and keep office hours as required by college policy
• Assist with advising student athletes.
• Attend required meetings.
• Must be capable of effectively motivation and supervising students.
• Must maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
• Coaching duties assigned by the head esports coach
• A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively, both within the unit and campus wide.
• Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the college.
• Operates within the guidelines of SFCC
• Knowledge of NJCAAE and Region 16 rules and regulations

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and collegiate playing experience and two years of high school or college coaching experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with Class E 15 passenger endorsement and ability to meet college’s insurance requirements for driving vehicles required

Skills:

• Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform at high levels.
• Ability to teach and advise student-athletes throughout the season.
• A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to interact verbally in person, over the phone, and via written and electronic media.
• Ability to travel for e-sports events etc...
• Ability to move about campus and other locations.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
