Inside Sales Representative in Columbia, South Carolina at Merchants Metals LLC

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside sales support representative is responsible for working with customers to assess their needs. Assists with customer requests, provides product and technical information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through excellent communication and networking.

• Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities.

• Responds to requests from customers for information and presents products based on customer needs.

• Engages in technical discussions with potential clients.

• Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the company’s B2B infrastructures.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Must be able to work overtime as required

• Proven customer support experience

• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School Diploma

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

Compensation - Hourly starting at $19 per hour plus incentive
