Job Description
Youth Ministers provide vision and coordination for the parish’s efforts in ministry to young people from 6th through 12th grades. This includes high school and middle school sessions (weekly Vespers and Youth Group), monthly activities, service work opportunities, and Youth Mass (monthly)
Requirements:• Lead weekly Vespers and JR CYO activities
• Communicate to staff about youth ministry activities and supplies needed; seeking staff input in planning youth ministry activities/budget
• Create content for social media and digital marketing materials
• Co-facilitating the Youth Ambassador Team, which is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive youth ministry program
• Developing a systematic and intentional plan for Vespers and Youth Group, and tying into the yearly theme
• Fostering the involvement of young people in the life of the parish and hosting volunteer days for the parish
• Serving as the liaison with the diocesan office of youth ministry and their programs, services and resources
Candidate must be Catholic.
