Position Summary
Precise is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and technically savvy BD/Capture Analyst to support the company’s federal growth organization. This role will work closely with Business Development Directors, Capture Managers, and Program and Account Leads to support opportunity identification, pipeline development, competitive intelligence, and capture activities across federal civilian and health agencies.
The ideal candidate combines strong research, organizational, analytical, and data management skills with an interest in federal contracting, strategic growth, and market intelligence. This position plays a critical role in helping the growth team identify, qualify, track, and position opportunities aligned to company capabilities, contract vehicles, past performance, and strategic growth priorities.

This role provides exposure to executive leadership, account strategy, proposal operations, solutioning activities, and enterprise growth initiatives across major federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- The BD/Capture Analyst will conduct research and monitor federal procurement activity across platforms such as SAM.gov, GovWin, eBuy, agency forecasts, procurement portals, RFIs, and sources sought notices.
- The role will support identification and qualification of new opportunities while tracking recompetes, expiring contracts, procurement timelines, incumbent contractors, contract ceilings, and agency buying patterns.
- The analyst will also support broader account planning and pipeline development activities across targeted federal agencies.
- This role will support competitive intelligence and market analysis efforts by researching competitors, teaming partners, incumbents, and agency procurement behavior.
- Responsibilities include developing and maintaining competitor profiles, customer and account briefs, stakeholder maps, and opportunity summaries.
- The analyst will also assist in analyzing award trends, task order activity, contract vehicle utilization, and procurement patterns to help inform capture strategy and teaming decisions.
- The BD/Capture Analyst will be responsible for working with the team to ensure CRM records are updated and maintained, develop opportunity trackers, create pipeline dashboards, and develop recurring business development reports.
- This includes preparing pipeline health metrics, account updates, capture activity summaries, and leadership reporting to support pipeline reviews and strategic growth discussions.
- In addition to research and reporting responsibilities, this position will actively participate in business development and capture activities for targeted opportunities.
- The analyst will support the development of opportunity briefs, RFI and RFP responses, call plans, customer research, and capture documentation.
- The role requires coordination with proposal managers, solution architects, and growth leadership teams to support positioning and pursuit activities throughout the business development lifecycle.
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and approximately 2–5 years of experience supporting federal business development, capture, proposals, contracts, market research, or related growth functions.
- Familiarity with the federal acquisition lifecycle and experience using tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite and the application of Artificial Intelligence to improve processes and gain efficiencies are strongly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting multiple simultaneous pursuits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal IT or professional services organizations is preferred, along with familiarity with GWACs, BPAs, IDIQs, and other federal contract vehicles.
- Experience supporting capture efforts, pipeline reporting, dashboard creation, or growth operations is also highly desirable.
