***This internship will run from May 19 2025 - August 8, 2025 and will require at least three days a week in person at the VA office.***

Location: Alexandria, VA / Hybrid

What This Internship is About:
  • Assist recruiting team with complete lifecycle staffing procedures, which includes sourcing, interviewing, training, and hiring candidates for various marketing events/promotions.
  • Initiate background checks
  • Screen candidates resumes
  • Discuss event or campaign expectations and goals with client service teams
  • Evaluate candidates and fulfill staffing needs based on specific client/upper management requests.
  • Provide on boarding paperwork and train staff for specific campaigns.
  • Organize database of field resources and candidate records- maintain, innovate, create ease-of-use and efficiency for end-users. 
  • Maintain on-going communication with field representatives between programs; provide a bridge of communication; maintain continuous contact with staff, managers, and other RedPeg representatives.
  • Meet with upper management/recruiting team and other departments to evaluate programs and develop future strategies. 
  • Assist in recruiting efforts by researching key events along with channels that act as “feeders” to the pool of talent offered by the department.

What You’re All About:

  • Ideally, working on obtaining a degree in Business, Human Resource, or within Experiential Marketing
  • 0-1+ years of relevant marketing, Human Resources or Recruiting
  • Overall strong communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and personal accountability
  • Ability to handle a high-volume of work consisting of multiple projects and deadlines at one time (time management)
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and in collaboration with others
  • Strong work ethic and hunger to learn and "roll up your sleeves"
  • Willingness to help with tasks
  • A pleasant and positive attitude
  • General computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite applications
Salary:
$15/h Enrolled in an Undergrad program, $16.50/h for completing an Undergrad program, but not starting a Graduate program and $18/h enrolled in or obtained Graduate degree
