Environmental Service Associate/Receiving Clerk at University Center for Ambulatory Surgery – Glen Rock, New Jersey

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Service Associate/Receiving Clerk to join our team at University Center for Ambulatory Surgery, located in Somerset, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for receiving and distributing supplies and equipment throughout the facility. This role is critical to the success of our organization and requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Experience in environmental services or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience with inventory management systems

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Receive and distribute supplies and equipment throughout the facility
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and common areas
• Assist with inventory management
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments

Skills:

The successful candidate will utilize their strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. They will also use their communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and other departments. In addition, the candidate will use their physical abilities to lift up to 50 pounds and their knowledge of infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment. Finally, the candidate will use their experience with inventory management systems to assist with ordering and tracking supplies.
