Auxiliary Resource Aide/Classroom Therapist at Children Service Center – Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

This position is a behavioral resource for students. Provides assistance when needed to prevent or intervene during times of potential crisis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrated capacity to develop further knowledge of casework principles, practices and methodology
• Knowledge of individual and group behavior and the interrelationships between social, economic, psychological, and general physiological factors
• Knowledge of current social, economic, and health problems and resources, with emphasis upon factors relating to physical and mental health of all age groups

**This is a Bachelor Level Position in a School Setting**

Qualifications:

Graduation from a recognized college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Field.

• Undergraduate and graduate work in social work, counseling, or psychology is necessary
• One year of full time paid experience in mental health field preferably with behavioral and/or psychiatric orientation is necessary
