We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver advanced artificial intelligence solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate processes, and reduce business risks. In this role, you will focus on applying Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning to modernise legal operations and workflows. You will develop intelligent systems for analysing contracts, processing legal documents, supporting litigation activities, and conducting due diligence. Working with technologies such as RAG architectures, AI agents, and Natural Language Processing, you will transform complex requirements into scalable, reliable applications. You will collaborate closely with data engineering, technology, and legal specialists to ensure solutions address real business needs. • Design, develop, implement, and scale AI solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate processes, and mitigate risks within legal departments.

• Apply Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Machine Learning, and advanced AI techniques to modernise legal workflows, including contract information extraction and interpretation, litigation processes, document analysis, and due diligence.

• Build Generative AI applications and LLM-powered solutions tailored to legal department requirements.

• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures for intelligent search, retrieval, and interpretation of legal documents and information.

• Develop intelligent agents and automated workflows to execute legal activities and streamline processes.

• Create solutions for extracting, classifying, interpreting, and summarising documents, contracts, and legal submissions.

• Implement AI models for contract analysis, including clause identification, risk detection, inconsistency analysis, and obligation tracking.

• Develop automation solutions for litigation-related activities, due diligence processes, and document management.

• Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to analyse and interpret legal texts.

• Integrate AI models with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, and internal platforms.

• Develop evaluation, validation, and monitoring strategies to ensure model accuracy, reliability, and response quality.

• Implement security, traceability, and explainability mechanisms, as well as safeguards to identify and mitigate AI hallucinations.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Technology, and legal subject-matter experts to identify opportunities and translate business needs into practical AI solutions.

• Monitor emerging AI technologies and industry developments, proposing improvements and new applications.

• Strong professional experience in Artificial Intelligence Engineering or developing advanced AI solutions.

• Proficiency in Python for building AI applications and solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.

• Knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.

• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.

• Experience developing and integrating APIs and microservices.

• Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and model evaluation techniques.

• Practical experience with prompt engineering and the development of intelligent AI agents.

• Familiarity with cloud AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI.

• Knowledge of scalable solution architecture, system integration, and production environments.

• Familiarity with MLOps and LLMOps practices.
