Kitchen Team Member

Kitchen assistant duties may include but are not limited to:

- Prepping gelato, sauces, sundae toppings, inclusions (ice cream nerd speak for ingredients added to gelato during production: cakes, cookies, or brittles) per recipe book

- Operating gelato batch freezers, commercial mixers and ovens

- Chopping, blending, lifting gelato ingredients (50+ lbs)

- Cleaning equipment

- Stocking finished product within a walk in freezer and cooler

- Assisting in the organization of gelato inventory and ingredient procurement

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Set up, operation, and cleaning of commercial food prep equipment

- Ingredient procurement and preparation

- Communicating directly with Kitchen Manager on menu development

- Assisting in the management of gelato inventory

- Maintaining a clean work environment

- Coordination of finished products to our retail locations and wholesale customers

*Cooking or pastry experience is encouraged but not required

*Ability to lift 30+ pounds

*Food service experience is encouraged but not required

*Must be able to work weekdays (we operate our production kitchen weekday mornings through weekday late afternoons, year-round)

*Kitchen team members will start part-time, and with demonstrated success, full-time if so desired.

Previous experience is not required; just a growing desire to always be evolving into a terrific member of our team.
