About This Position
SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Lead Digital Publishing Manager, and is responsible for collaborating with the curriculum development team to:
Manage systems, remote contractors, and workflows to format and publish content for new and active digital curriculum products;
Manage curriculum maintenance/improvements and publishing objectives to ensure a clean and polished online user content experience;
Manage new product-focused initiatives (i.e., content digitization) at the request of department and company leadership;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage personnel, time, and monetary resources to assure correct and polished content is approved and published online within timelines and monetary budgets;
Format, publish, and digitize product content;
Recruit, train, and manage a team of remote contractors responsible for document formatting and content publishing/digitizating;
Oversee quality control checks for all managed digital publishing projects;
Report project needs and progress to colleagues within the department, as well as to other departments and upper management;
Collaborate with content development and editing teams to ensure effective digital publishing workflow and content accuracy;
Coordinate with print and kit teams as well as the translation department to ensure affected products are maintained accordingly;
Develop and maintain web-based document filing systems for new and active digital products;
Assist department and company leadership with special/ad hoc digital projects; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience in math and or science education is preferred.
Knowledge of Spanish is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Software suites to include Google (Drive, Slides, Docs, and Sheets), MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), and Adobe (Acrobat DC and Photoshop) are required.
Document formatting experience preferred.
Experience with managing web-based publishing/HTML language is a plus.
Online project management/collaborative communication software experience is a plus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years' product development and project management experience is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in related or applicable field. Science and/or math education background and coaching/managerial experience preferred. Demonstrated experience with the STEMscopes customer- and administrator-facing websites is a definite plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Primarily must be able to work in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time. Other physical demands of the position include mobility throughout the day as needed to attend meetings and periodic conference presentations.
While performing the duties of this job, the work may occasionally be required during evenings and weekend hours. Must be able to travel in and outside of Houston, TX for conferences, events, and district/campus meetings as needed/requested.
