Position: Commissary – Bakery Associate

At Joseph’s Classic Market, our commissary bakery is where the magic of our fresh-baked goods begins. Our Bakery Associates are responsible for expertly preparing, baking, and packaging the decadent cakes, pastries, and desserts that make our bakery second to none. With a passion for precision and quality, this team ensures every item is crafted to perfection, maintaining the rich flavors and textures our customers love. From mixing batters to decorating gourmet treats, our bakery team is dedicated to delivering excellence in every bite.

Routine Tasks:

• Maintain Joseph’s standards for product freshness and sanitation
• Prepare and execute Joseph’s recipes for various breads, cakes, and pastries
• Package and label products
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
• Operate oven, knives, bread slicer, scale, and other Bakery equipment
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Ability to work well with others
• Must be able to speak Spanish
• Bakery production experience a plus
• Food preparation experience
• A passion for serving people

A Bakery Associate performs their tasks primarily in the Commissary department. Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds. You will be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work also includes frequent interaction with fellow employees.
